CHICO, Calif. – Golden Valley Bank announced today that they are contributing $250,000 to the Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation to assist local nonprofit organizations struggling with their fundraising efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Many of our local nonprofits have had their fundraising severely curtailed as a result of the pandemic, jeopardizing the critical services they provide to our communities,” said Mark Francis, President and CEO of the Bank.  “Our Board of Directors is committed to supporting these services and want our contribution to raise awareness that many of these organizations are in need of the community’s help,” added Tim Tittle, Chairman of the Board of the Bank.  “We hope the community will join us!”

The Foundation will invest in programs that focus on financial literacy, the environment, health, human, and family services, and best practices for small nonprofit organizations.
