Golden Valley Bank announced today that the Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation donated $25,000 to Enloe Foundation’s Compassion Fund assisting patients and their families with critical, immediate needs related to their care.

The Enloe Foundation exists to raise charitable contributions that support the programs, equipment and facilities needed to serve patients cared for at Enloe Medical Center. Because of the COVID pandemic, fundraising events that support funds like the Compassion Fund and the Enloe Disaster Fund have been canceled, eliminating an estimated $250,000 in net fundraising.

“Many of our local nonprofits have had their fundraising severely curtailed as a result of the pandemic, jeopardizing the critical services they provide to our communities,” said Mark Francis, President and CEO of the Bank. “Our Board of Directors is committed to supporting these services and want our contribution to raise awareness that many of these organizations are in need of the community’s help,” added Tim Tittle, Chairman of the Board of the Bank. “We hope the community will join us!”

The donation is part of the Bank’s $250,000 contribution to assist local nonprofit organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation will continue to invest in programs that focus on financial literacy, the environment, health, human, and family services, and best practices for small nonprofit organizations.
