In response to the Carr Fire and the growing need for support, the Golden Valley Bank Community Foundation is committing $50,000 for Redding area fire relief. The Foundation intends to allow the employees of Golden Valley Bank to direct funding for specific projects and necessities to help meet the short and long term needs of those most affected.
“We are very thankful that, while some were evacuated, none of our employees or their families lost their homes,” said Mark Francis, President and CEO of Golden Valley Bank, “and we think its best that our Redding area employees play a key role in directing where our funds go to provide the most help for those who did. They are very involved in the community and will provide us with valuable insight and direction.”
The Foundation is also accepting donations from community members at the Bank or through PayPal at www.goldenvalley.bank and will add those amounts to their overall commitment.
